On a blistering hot July day, Wanstead Climate Action lent their voices to an XR protest to halt the building of a new tunnel under the Thames, linking Silvertown to Greenwich. This proposed tunnel, the north entrance of which is near a school, will only attract more polluting cars to the city and add more carbon to the already illegal levels suffered in this part of London.
SUCCESS?: Originally postponed after protests, it looks like this tunnel is back on the planning agenda.
