APRIL 2022 – WCA took part in the April Rebellion.
Calling for the end to fossil fuels we joined protests in central London, and door knocking in Walthamstow as part of Extinction Rebellion’s 3.5 campaign (a mass outreach strategy to build towards engaging 3.5% of the population, going into communities and speaking to people about the crisis we face).
MAY 2022 – WCA members protested inside the Standard Chartered and Shell AGMs. The aim was to call attention to fossil fuel investments and developments at a time when the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres has said in a speech following the release of the latest IPCC report: “Investing in new fossil fuel infrastructure is moral and economic madness.”
