‘Power-full’ Event

During the Wanstead Fringe (September 24), WCA organised an event called ‘Power-full: How to future proof your home (and your life)’ about all things Retrofit. Two speakers from the Home Energy Action Lab did a Q&A. Also Dan Edelstyn from the Power Station group came to update us on his (successful) campaign to get solar panels installed along his street in Walthamstow through crowdfunding and sleeping on his roof in the middle of winter!

You can join Dan’s Power Station membership group here https://membership.power.film/join-free

and Ben on instagram as he retrofits his own home here https://www.instagram.com/retrofitofno28/

The next stage of our warm homes campaign is taking shape. Fancy knitting part of a giant scarf to wrap around parliament? Or helping to lobby our MP about the need for a street by street nationwide insulation program? Contact button link to WCA email

Join us to plan and carry out actions to this effect. It would be great to hear your ideas! We also link up with other campaigns and larger organisations like Extinction Rebellion and Divestment groups for their campaigns & events.
